A historical location at the King's Shops in Waikoloa Beach Resort could only be experienced if the food is superb. A-Bay's Island Grill offers that along with it's newly renovated atmosphere. Lot's of exotic wood finishes can be seen throughout and the long attractive bar is just one final touch to this already appealing restaurant. Some of the food choices will seriously keep you wanting to go back again and again. The loco moco, fresh island catch, and steak sandwich are just three fine choices that will leave your mouth watering. There is also lot's of convenient parking around this little restaurant which exhibits a somewhat private feel to your dining experience.
Serving local seafood to families, singles, couples and everyone that has come through it's doors. The atmosphere is a very chilled out relax almost beach-like like approach to dining. Outdoor seating here is plentiful too. Crab cakes, fish tacos, loco moco, and their eggs Benedict are sure to delight and please. A pacific rim cuisine as they like to call offers air conditioned indoor seating with it's newly renovated bar and seating area. The staff is more than just super friendly, they are actually really knowledgeable when it comes to knowing the menu and are food enthusiasts themselves. Cocktails are served with an island ambiance that is hard to beat and really tough to find elsewhere in the resort.
Two fine dishes are presented at A-Bay's Island Grill - The Swordfish and the Calamari. Both have a succulent flavor to them that some visitors often mention having several times during their Waikoloa Beach resort stay. Their draft beer options on tap are another really wonderful reason to stop by. With super late closing hours unlike most of the other resort restaurants you can have a late evening out with friends and not have to worry much about whether last call will be coming too soon. A Bay's is located down at the end of King's Shops in a really nice private area. Not too busy and loud, just the way that island life here in the Big Island was meant to be enjoyed. A happy place and certainly one of the best restaurants in the Waikoloa Beach Resort on the Kohala Coast.
