In a world full of people and much busy activity, it is really nice to know that there are still magical places left to explore. Kehena Beach is just one of those last few remaining secret spots and it's visitors and those who love everything about it would like to keep it that way. It's a beach that is off the beaten path, and the steep hike down the natural made cliff stairs is not for everyone. This is a clothing optional beach and offers some of the finest coastline views that the Puna side of the Big Island brings to all of us for our enjoyment. The vibe at this place is super friendly and brings us back to the hippy days of when everyone simply just got along.

Considered one of the most enchanting and magical places ever in the world. Very unique and unspoiled is another way to describe it's wondering beauty. Please be super careful when walking down the steps as they are steep and overlook a hard drop down towards the ocean. Once you arrive down at the black sand beach you will be amazed by it's feeling on your feet. An overwhelming joy fills most people's hearts when they visit this place. It has a thing about setting all of us free. Especially, those who are caught up in the day to day race which unfortunately, many of us will never get ourselves out of. Kehena Beach at least for many of us can help to freeze time and assist us in realizing what truly matters the most in life.

Just outside of Pahoa, the swimming here at Kehena Beach is something to marvel and talk about. If you are lucky enough you might just find a pod of dolphins circling around you and frolicking in the crystal blue waters beneath. Catch a glimpse quickly as this is the type of magic to be cherished for decades to be sure. Park up at the curved area above the beach and come and enjoy a place that has certainly continued to live up to it's famous name. Kehena Beach is a place of freedom and expression for those who are not willing to settle for the typical everyday ways which society continues to place in our minds. One of the truly last remaining most hidden secret spots left on this planet.
