Pineapples Restaurant has won numerous awards and memorable mentions. It is one of those places to go and eat time and time again. Prized and known for it's fresh fish this island favorite offers fun style dining with beautiful breezes from the ocean. The Hilo location is right in the heart of town. Located in one of the oldest buildings in the entire state. The tasty fish and chips should be followed by the amazing cooked coconut pie. There are so many mouthwatering items to choose from that it's no surprise patrons continue to come back for more. Known for the Pineapple Pow you especially have to try this local favorite if you are only in Hilo for the day.

Pineapples is an establishment that is truly run very well. The food by many reviews online always comes out nice and hot and fresh. The fish sandwich is always something that offers a guaranteed island inspired choice. Their catch of the day is highly recommended too. For lunch Pineapples always has a very nice vibrant feel to it. With the way it is set up with an open style atmosphere, it's sure makes for indoor/outdoor dining a really good thing.

With a really impressive wood finished bar and seating area, you can come to a place that is friendly and open to the fresh air. The Ahi Poke appetizer is a menu top choice. The Hilo mix plate is right up there as well. The poke tower, scallops, and shrimp are all top choices that many visitors have come back for more than once. To make things even better, you absolutely have to order their famous Pineapple POW.. A yummy drink poured to please and displayed like fine art. One of the neatest drinks you will ever have.
