What else can we say. The Fish Hopper Kona is one of the best restaurants in all of Hawaii. Since 1934, The Fish Hopper is a Kona favorite restaurant and has even a landmark building (used to be the Ocean View Inn). Guests of the hotel will enjoy a fantastic view of the Pacific Ocean from the newly restored building, as it has undergone extensive restoration work. A proud member of the Big Island, they serve sustainable seafood that has been harvested in an environmentally friendly manner. Kona's Ali'i Drive is home to the Fish Hopper and is a top favorite on the Kona Coast for tourists and visitors as well. The Fish Hopper serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner. There is no need to make reservations but it is always a good idea.

On their drink menu, they have some really impressive and creative choices. A reasonable selection of wines that are not exhaustive. but decently priced makes it really fun and enjoyable with dinner. The prices are also very reasonable. The food at Fish Hopper is quite simply fantastic. The is a mouthwatering appetizer menu offering flavors such as Ginger and Lemongrass Clams and Mussels, Ahi Poke, Crispy Coconut Shrimp, and a Crab Meat Tower that is sure to make any appetizer plate a major winner. It is on this restaurant's menu that you will find one of it's numerous unique salads, like the Maui Onion and Tomato Salad. Others include the Coconut Prawns and Sesame Crusted Ahi Salad. You can enjoy several delicious main dishes at The Fish Hopper, such as grilling sanddabs, making a creamy risotto with locally caught ono (wahoo), roasting monchongs, cooking baby back ribs with mango barbecue sauce, or customizing your chicken with parmesan sauce. The Ali'i skewers are a local favorite as are the Shrimp Trio, and Land & Sea Burger. This involves teriyaki beef tenderloin, shrimp and other vegetables on a skewer.
