Directions: Headed on highway 19 north from Kona, Mauna Lani Resort is the second resort on the Kohala Coast just before Puako and Hapuna Beach. Enter to the left from the highway through the open but guarded security entrance. Drive all the way down towards the roundabout and take the third turn towards 49 black sand beach. Do not turn left just keep heading all the way down until the road ends. Turn into the right gated entrance where you see the sign Mauna Lani Beach Club. The luxury gated community called the Cape will be to your left.

The fantastic aspect of Napua Restaurant is that after 5:30pm it is actually open to the public. What seems like one of the most private and exclusive settings in the world, and one that would only be for members, believe it or not - serves all residents and visitors of the majestic Big Island. There is a wide array of things to do here at this enchanting location. The crescent shaped beach keeps all visitors wanting to be here that much longer. Napua is more of an intimate night out without the hustle and bustle of large format restaurant seating. Parking is located directly at the top as you come in and the restaurant is situated just steps below. These are ancient Hawaiian coastline waters and Napua is extremely lucky to be able to call this fabulous spot it's home.

This fine dining eatery prides itself of serving locally sourced and grown food. From the finest Kona and Hamakua Coast farms you will be sure that your lunch and dinner are served super fresh and healthy. Ocean breezes are just steps away at this picturesque little hidden gem of a spot. The Polynesian and Hawaiian cuisine is also available for pickup and takeout. The poke and ahi servings are to melt for according to several reviewers who have been lucky enough to dine here. Some have even referred to Napua as a delicious little secret that is simply just tucked away along the coastal clear blue Kohala Coast waters we refer to as paradise. At Napua it doesn't just end there, you can have them cater to your every hearts desire including parties and events.

Calamari, calamari steak, salads, shrimp, daily catch and much much more. The food is mouth watering at Napua and the atmosphere is almost like it's out of a Hollywood movie of some sort. Organic foods are prepared to absolute perfection and served with quality service. The Mahi mahi with lobster roasted corn relish is just one more dish that should not be overlooked. Kids will love this place too as they can run around on the beach and frolic about. For lunch, this is one of the best spots on the entire island. Order a mai tai or a lava flow to wash your worries away. At least for the day. Napua makes living on the big island that much more lovable.
