Directions: Headed on highway 19 north from Kona, Mauna Lani Resort is the second resort on the left hand side of the Kohala Coast main road. Binchotan is located inside of the Orchid at Mauna Lani Resort Hotel just below the lobby.

Mauna Lani Resort on the Kohala Coast of Hawaii's Big Island is home to some of the most stunning restaurants anyone could ever want to explore. Binchotan Bar & Grill fits into this elite class of fine luxury dining. Located downstairs just below the lobby at the Orchid at Mauna Lani, this fantastic experience is one of the great places to eat on the entire Kohala Coast. A super stunning location with an amazing fire pit and lit torches, the sunsets during dinner here are better then anything else you will ever see. Inside there is a fabulous bar option with all kinds of wonderful drinks. The menu also has something for everyone, including a keiki menu. Open only for dinner in the evenings, Binchotan specializes is fine asian cuisine. The wonderful chef options are delectable in every way.

The Orchid at Mauna Lani has been home to super luxurious suites based along the mystique Hawaiian shorelines of the newest island, the Big Island. Binchotan is situated in a really great spot as you come downstairs from the main lobby. The orchid also offers amazing tennis, spa, and golf facilities. Traditional northern Japanese cuisine is served here at Binchotan. This restaurant prides itself in the fine exchange between Hawaii and Japanese foods bring them both together in the perfect harmony possible. Chef David Viviano brings forth some of his best and creative dishes. Binchotan prides itself on bringing families and loved ones together to celebrate the best of life. This restaurant presents authentic Japanese food at it's core. A very fancy establishment all while sitting upon a setting that is out of a fairly tale. Super quiet here away from all the crowds and other resorts. This is one of those locations that not many people know about, not even the local wine and dine crowd. Binchotan has a very interesting menu sparkled with a laid back Hawaiian style feel. The tiki torches lit at night give it an additional positive push of unforgettable ambiance. A centuries old tradition of fireside cooking (called Robotayaki), this well preserved method has been around for a very long time.
