Kahilipali Nui & Iki

Kahiliipali Nui and Iki are two Kau communities located on the Big Island, Hawaii. Kahiliipali Nui is mostly made up of single-family homes, while Iki has more commercial properties and is home to a growing number of multi-family units. The two communities are separated by a major highway which runs through their center, making it easy for people to travel between them despite their proximity. Kahiliipali Nui is significantly older than Iki and has been operating as an independent community since its founding.
