Almost Like It's Out Of A Movie

The first time we ever went to Lava Lava Beach Club was on the perfect Hawaiian Saturday night. The sun had just set over the pacific ocean on A-Bay otherwise known as Anaehoomalu Bay in Hawaiian. Our friends who had relocated from Colorado had moved back just 2 months before us. The amazing thing is that we had mutual friends with them back from Minnesota where my wife is originally from. Like us they too were looking for a place where the grass is greener. That place is the Big Island of Hawaii and more specifically the Kohala Coast. We joined them for a night to remember and one to never forget. Even though the beach club can get really busy on the weekends it is well worth it.

There is plenty of parking and not just a place to eat or drink. There are many games that you can play with your kids and friends too. The grass is really well manicured all around the resort and at this restaurant too. You can even rent an oceanfront cottage if that is what your heart desires. The slow and gentle waves coming in to shore remind all of us of Hawaii's yesteryear and how time actually may have stood still. Lots of great options for dining at Lava Lava lounge. Be it surf and/or turf they do have it all. All kinds of seafood for those who really want to feel like they have found the perfect Hawaiian beach hut on the water.

Lava Lava lounge is located just past the Queen's Marketplace to the left after you drive into Waikoloa Beach Resort. You can't miss is there are signs that will guide you in so not to worry there. Just be ready to be patient on the weekends as this place is not only very popular with tourists but also with the local residents as well. Either way, once you are there sipping on your lava flow or pina colada you will not even remember any challenges your day may have presented to you. This is one of the best places in all of Hawaii or the Pacific to feel like you are part of a movie. Only that it will leave you realizing that it was real and you simply could not get enough. They claim their place is for "toes in the sand", and are they ever right on that one... be in on the Big Island or Kauai they have two locations to serve their loyal patrons. A must place to be and be seen. The best of beach life drinking and dining is only to be cherished at Lava Lava.
