On any given holiday weekend you used to be able to see all of the private lear-jets lining the perimeter of the Kona Airport runways. Today with all that the world has gone through things have changed a bit with travel and all of the restrictions in place. However, those seeking refuge for a private and luxurious getaway are still leaning towards to the Kona Coast and Kohala Coast for all of their vacation and getaway needs. Hualalai Resort has always been a staple for the finest in second home and vacation living. The Four Season name and all that it stands for has obviously played a large role in all of this. Since it's inception there have been other top high-end resorts that have followed in it's footsteps. Kohanaiki and Hokulia are two that offer the same type of lifestyle only without the large 5 star hotel resort chain name backing them up.

Kukio is also in a world of it's own. A very difficult private enclave to get into for the average visitor or Hawaii resident. The cost is not for everyone and the HOA dues and fees are fairly exquisite. Kukio offers large acreage lots with one of the largest coming in at just over 7 acres. This is almost unheard of anywhere in the world to be able to acquire such are large estate land parcel within the gates of one of the best gated communities in America. Ocean views at Kukio are surreal to say the least. Kukio also has a private owners club in which cell phones are not allowed at the clubhouse. This is in place to maintain the relaxed and private feel everyone has come to appreciate. This also shows respect to others at lunch and dinner the way it was supposed to be. Many famous names have walked the grounds and continue to visit Kukio as well as Hualalai. These are two of the finest established luxury real estate resorts in all of Hawaii and the United States.

We are seeing the market continuing to climb to new price points and levels never ever seen before. As the pandemic occurred, all of the high end real estate here on the Big Island was affected. Listings that were sitting without offers in the $7 million or more range were not receiving any major activity or steady showings. Now things are different. These same properties of flying off the shelf and are continuing to get swooped up by those who are seeing the light. Hawaii is beyond special and the real estate here is fantastic and unique. Ke Kailani and 49 Black Sand Beach have seen some very serious activity from cash buyers of late. Hualalai Resort only has a handful of listings currently showing active and available in the MLS. The resorts of Mauna Kea and Mauna Lani are taking on a new hold when it comes to living a pure class and luxury life. With newly completed multi-million renovations, the hotels along the Kohala Coast are once again thriving at never before seen levels. Simply put, this is the place where millionaires are finding refuge and solace. We do not foresee a slow down anytime during the rest of 2021 and into early winter 2022.
