It seems like in order for a place to remain unspoiled by mankind you almost have be somewhere in the middle of the pacific..
However, that claim can be contradicted due to the fact that a short 30 minute flight away is one of the most congested cities in the world, Honolulu. With well over a million people on Oahu how is it even possible that we are able tp supply enough electricity and water to all of those residents and visitors. That is a subject for another day and another set of professionals and actual true experts to worry about and figure out.
For us, our place of refuge is the Kohala Coast. Those two words ring resonation like no other two could ever do. This place is so exotic, so remote, and so untouched, that it is no wonder sprawling $20 to $50 million dollar dream home estates are slowly and quietly popping up. The level of privacy and quiet behind the gated communities inside Kukio, Kohanaiki, Mauna Kea, Hualalai and Mauna Lani are at a completely different level.
We like to say that the real estate here is quiet but the money spent on it is not. The average cost per foot to build in some of these high end resorts believe it or not is well close to or sometimes over $1,000. The super wealthy only want the best. They deservedly have earned it so it should be their right to be able to relax in the best offerings and quality construction finishes available.
There are some visitors that have been coming here for years and after so many visits they say why shouldn't I own a piece of this special coast. The newest island of them all the Big Island transcends and energy like no other place in the pacific. Only locations such as Bali and Bora Bora may come close but the infrastructure and security is just not there.
With a super easy flight to the mainland of 5 hours the money from Silicon Valley and Los Angeles is becoming abundant here. Friends tell friends who tell their friends and before you know it the Kohala Coast is a place for them to plan visits together to unwind. So much so, that it is not uncommon for the Four Seasons at Hualalai to accommodate rooms next to each other for family to be as close as possible. There is no other place that we can think of that is as pretty, remote, and full of the finest luxury real estate on earth.
The Kohala Coast simply is unrivaled.
