These turtles (Honu) we spotted when going for a gentle relaxing stroll at the beach headed towards Magoon Beach House at Mahai'ula on a Sunday afternoon with the family. If you drive around you will see many homes use the Hawaiian Honu for it's beauty and good luck on their entrance gates to their majestic homes.

This was the perfect day to take some time away from the hustle and bustle of working hard every day on the Kohala Coast. The cool water tide-pools provide protection for these incredible water sea creatures.

At first from a distance it was hard to tell what we were looking at it almost look like part of the lava rock. Their camo was so good that their shells blended rightfully so into the shoreline lava rock. Just another day of beauty on Hawaii's gold coast.
