A Day in the Life
Truly, not a day goes by in which we are not thankful for all that we have living on the Kohala Coast. There are many other remote and exotic luxury destinations the world over, but for some reason, the Big Island is in a league of it's own. From the minute you arrive at Ellison Onizuka Kona International Airport at Keahole, a feeling of pristine serenity comes over all of us. It is the feeling one gets on a rainy day where our thoughts ease into a very relaxed state of mind. You know what I am talking about, and most of us wish we could be there more often. Life on the Big Island is such, that if you miss a day, two, or three of watching and following the news, it really will not and should not affect you. There was once a time where people focused more on intention rather then results.
The Kohala Coast is by far one of the most sought after destination locations in the world by luxury travels and visitors alike. The hotels and their restaurants are once again continuing to thrive at new levels in reservations. We believe this to be a really good thing moving forward. Life in Kona for the super wealthy is one of complete serenity and solitude. With all that the world has recently been through, most business executives are lucky enough to be able to work remotely from their laptops and homes. This in essence has created and formed a very new world tracking ahead. No more office meetings in suits and ties, as zoom has become the norm for many. With all this being said, you can actually accomplish much more by not being stuck in traffic driving to the office to and from. Imagine, a different reality? Waking up to a cup of coffee and overlooking the Pacific Ocean from your dream resort estate's custom lanai.
For many, this new way of life is here to stay. Many homeowners in Kukio, Hualalai, and the other resorts have decided to stay put on the Big Island and see what this new life brings. Consider working hard from your home office in the morning and snorkeling in the afternoon at Mauna Lani's Pauoa Beach. Or take a day trip around the island to explore the most intriguing waterfalls on the Hamakua and North Hilo side. Many times over this coast has been called the Billionaires and Millionaires playground. The golf here is so amazing that the most avid golfers in the world have spent days here playing the lush green fairways and honing their skills on the links. The black baron lava surrounding the green and blue ocean hues are out of this world. Today the world is so full of unnecessary noise and distraction, that those intelligent enough to realize they do not want to get caught up in it, are one step ahead of the curve.
