A Wedding Day to Remember

Sometimes there are places that just never seem to loose their luster. The Four Seasons at Hualalai in Hawaii is one of those magical locations. Our family first started vacation to to beautiful place back in the early 2,000's. We loved it so much that we end up getting married at the resort and even having our entire family fly in for our beach wedding at Hualalai's famous wedding tree. The plans that led up to our special day were really carefree and we had no stress. We flew in with our closest and family friends and stayed for two beautiful nights. That was back in 2007. We were still living on Oahu at the time and every chance we could get we would spend it on the Big Island. Even though both my wife and I initially met at University of Hawaii at Hilo on the Big Island we ended up relocating for a bit to Oahu. Toby Hoogs was our photographer who came highly recommended by the resort staff and our wedding coordinator.

The Hualalai Resort has been named the best of the best and ranked #1 in the world many times over. There really is no comparison to it anywhere. There are some that come close but really nothing will ever beat it. Take this from someone that has stayed at many of the other Four Seasons resorts and Ritz Carlton as well. We have also been fortunate enough to stay several times with the Mandarin Oriental resorts and hotels including St. Regis as well. Still, and this is simply our full and honest believe, that there is no resort like Hualalai on the Big island of Hawaii anywhere in the world.

This place is so special and private that even when you are about to turn off the main highway down into the entrance of the resort there is no sign anywhere that says it is the Four Seasons. Rumor is that they do not want the paparazzi knowing about it since so many famous and wealthy people come to stay here. Either way, it does not matter. What really counts is the level of service, architecture, high quality food, and just overall ambiance this resort brings. The beach waters surrounding Hualalai are simply fantastic. If this place could be ranked at a 7 star level we would put it there. Hualalai Resort knows what they are doing and cannot be rivaled in any way possible. Come and explore this special place and maybe one day it will lead to an actual purchase as well.
