For some they call it discovery, others reflection, and many even refer to it as being complete. That moment when you finally realize that enough is enough and that you have found your place in this world. The Kohala Coast is a place where many have come to visit but are not always able to stay. There was a time where I was always looking for the next best place and that the islands were never enough. That was when we moved back and relocated to the mainland. Sometimes you have to live and learn for yourself. I have a good friend that calls it full circle. Even though this blog may sound like it is just some non meaning wisdom it is not true. 

We as a human race are constantly looking for more, the next best thing, better cars, bigger and more luxurious homes, etc, etc, etc. Is this really what happiness is supposed to be all about. Why can't we be settled with all that we already have? I came to the realization when we finally came back home. That is right, back home to the big island where my wife and I had met some 20 plus years ago. Two young college kids who took the risk and went for it. Went for it by flying out into the middle of the Pacific and going to school in a place where many others would not be willing to tread. To this day we both do not have any regrets.

Out of all the places that we have lived no other location ever gave us this much clarity. The weather, the palm trees, the beaches, the beaches, and the beaches. Where else can you go snowboarding for fun on a mountain and then in the afternoon find yourself snorkeling with yellow tang in the afternoon? The Big Island of Hawaii of course. This place is special. Super special to be exact. When you find that perfect meaning, that perfect bliss, that perfect feeling. You will know. No one else will be there to tell you otherwise. This is the Kohala Coast and it by far remains untouched by man like any other place in the world. Nothing ever like it...
