Abundance of Fruit Trees in Hawaii Homes for Sale Can Help Lead to Sellers Getting More Profit [ and Selling For More Than Their Competition ]

I was out showing property today to an investor client in the $1 million plus range who recently flew here from California. They were referred to me from a business partner on Oahu that I have had a wonderful relationship with for close to 15 years. We found a really amazing property in Kailua Kona for $1.3 Million. It is located in the heart of Kona and comes with 5 studios all rented out for $1,000 per month. The property also has an owner's suite on the top (3rd floor) that is approximately 1,700 square feet. Even though that portion is not rented out it could realistically achieve $2,500-$3,000 if it were. If you do the math these are the types of investments that really make sense. Especially since there is just no inventory whatsoever in Kona when it comes to commercial real estate.

Getting back to the real point of this blog entry, the pineapple. I took this beautiful photo today to show how it really is the simple things that matter in life. We were just coming around the corner of the back of the property and there it was. The owner that was showing us the place was kind enough to point it out and tell us about all of the other amazing plants and fruit trees on the property. This led me to realize that Hawaii in and of itself really is like no other place. The constant fruit trees at all my showings I go on do not go by unnoticed. On my way home from the showing I just had to stop by and at Home Depot in Kona and buy my son a fruit tree. Not just any old fruit tree - a starfruit tree. Our beautiful home in Waikoloa Village wouldn't be the same without one. He has been asking me for a while now to do it, and today was the day. So I did. It's the simple things in life.

I recall also the other day when I was sitting an open house in Lokahi Makai (a North Kona neighborhood just above the airport and Kohanaiki) It is actually off of Kaiminani Drive, the home had multiple fruit trees in the back and side yard. 1 big mango tree, 5 papaya trees, an avocado tree, lilikoi vines, an orange tree, and 2 lemon trees. For a newer home built in 2006 is sure was pumping with gift bearing trees. This is the type of luxury lifestyle we sell to our potential buyers who are looking for their dream home on the big island of Hawaii, especially North Kona Homes for over $1 Million.

What's really exciting is that once the trees are blooming there is no stopping them. The owner told me just prior to the open house that the papaya trees grew 3 feet in very little time. I could not believe it and the size of the papayas were almost as big as footballs. This is Hawaii living and if you want to find a property littered with fruit trees we can help you do that.
